They're happy but divorce lawyers aren't. Bad example.
Sonel Adlin, a department manager at a supermarket in Istanbul, and
Ayan Adlin, a TIR truck driver, got married 8 years ago. The couple
has a daughter named Ecrin, who is now 6 years old.
However (!), the marriage of the couple, initially happy, was allegedly
shaken to its core due to Ayhan Adlin's constant self-centeredness and
neglect of his family. Ayhan Adlin's job as a truck driver and his frequent
absences from home made the marriage unbearable. Unable to endure
any longer, the couple applied to the Bakırköy Family Court for an
amicable divorce.
The Adlin couple went to the court hearing as if they were going to a
wedding, looking very happy. Sonel Adlin and her husband Ayhan Adlin,
along with their daughter, got into their car like a happy family, displaying
a sign on the rear window that read, "We are happy, we are getting
divorced."

Driving between Yenibosna and Şirinevler, they played loud music and
danced, much to the surprise and applause of other drivers. Sonel Adlin
and her husband Ayhan Adlin responded to the applauding drivers, saying,
"We are getting divorced, but we are not enemies." Traffic was briefly
disrupted as other drivers watched the Adlin couple. The couple, who
parked their cars in front of the Bakırköy Courthouse annex building,
danced for a while inside the parking lot.
The court judge granted Sonel Adlin and Ayhan Adlin a consensual
divorce, awarding custody of their 6-year-old daughter, Ecrin, to her
mother. The judge also ordered Ayhan Adlin to pay 8,000 TL (about
$ 172) per month in child support. Following the divorce, the couple
shared a family photo on social media, stating, "We may be separated,
but we'll always be together for our daughter."
