                       Turkish Curly, Larry and Moe.

It was revealed that Muzaffer Yanıkkollu (55), who was allegedly injured
in a minibus accident in Adana and died three days later in the hospital,
was, in fact, murdered. Oğulcan Güneyer (25) and his friends Efehan
Bolcal (22) and Berke Aksoy (23), who beat Yanıkkollu to death in the
minibus because of a dispute over a transportation tender, were arrested
for the crime of 'intentional homicide'.

The accident occurred on the night of April 25th on the Tarsus-Adana-
Gaziantep (TAG) Highway, in the direction of Osmaniye-Adana. The
minibus with license plate 01 F 3875, driven by Oğulcan Güneyer,
collided with the car in front of it, with license plate 42 APT 32, driven
by Adil Çelik.

Following the accident, Güneyer, with his friends Efehan Bolcal and
Berke Aksoy, and Muzaffer Yanıkkollu in the vehicle, continued towards
Adana without stopping. Encountering the Gendarmerie at a rest stop,
Güneyer claimed they had been in an accident and that Muzaffer
Yanıkkollu was injured. Thereupon, accompanied by the Gendarmerie,
Güneyer drove his minibus to the Adana City Training and Research
Hospital.

While Muzaffer Yanıkkollu, who was unconscious, was taken for
treatment, Oğulcan Güneyer, whose blood alcohol level was determined
to be 2.72 promille, was taken into custody. His friends, Efehan Bolcal
and Berke Aksoy, left the hospital without receiving any treatment.
After his procedures at the gendarmerie, Güneyer was referred to the
courthouse and released under judicial supervision. The minibus he
was driving was impounded. Muzaffer Yanıkkollu, who was undergoing
treatment in the intensive care unit, passed away on April 28th.

HOWEVER (!),

An autopsy performed on Muzaffer Yanıkkollu at the Forensic
Medicine Institute revealed signs of beating on his body. The Adana
Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, after examining the circumstances
of the accident and the damage to the vehicle, assessed that the
likelihood of the accident resulting in death was low. Furthermore,
the fact that Efehan Bolcal and Berke Aksoy, who were also in the
vehicle, were unharmed increased suspicion. Additionally, it was
determined that the camera recording device in the minibus involved
in the accident had been removed by cutting its cable.

Inspiration

The Gendarmerie, deepening the investigation, discovered that
approximately a month before the accident, Yanıkkollu and Güneyer
had fought over a transportation tender from the Ayas Minibus and
Bus Motor Carriers Cooperative, and that there was animosity between
them as a result. It was determined that neither party filed a complaint
against the other, and it was assessed that they may have met again
to fight for this reason.

Following the issuance of a warrant for the re-arrest of the suspects,
Gendarmerie teams launched a large-scale investigation. It was
determined that Berke Aksoy, who boarded a plane at Çukurova
International Airport on April 30, went to Istanbul and purchased
a plane ticket to flee to Georgia. Aksoy, who was preparing to escape
abroad, was apprehended at Istanbul Airport. Gendarmerie teams
detained Oğulcan Güneyer in Adana and Efehan Bolcal in Kayseri.

In his statement to the gendarmerie, Oğulcan Güneyer denied the
allegations against him, saying, “I called Efe and invited him to my
house to drink. Then we went to pick up Berke in the car. After
driving around Ceyhan for a while, we bought alcohol from a liquor
store and returned home. After drinking 3 bottles of alcohol, we
went out again to wander around. At that time, I called Muzaffer,
first asking how he was doing, then suggesting we meet. After
picking up Muzaffer from in front of a kebab shop, we set off
towards Adana. Muzaffer was dancing the çiftetelli in the car's
aisle. In the accident, he was thrown around and hit his head on
the windshield. Berke laid Muzaffer down in the aisle, and I drove
straight to the hospital.”

When questioned about the bloodstains found during the house
search and the scars on his arms and face, Güneyer confessed
to the incident, stating:

“Two days before the incident, I.A., with whom I had an argument
on the phone, insulted me and my family. When I met with my
friends Berke and Efe, I told them that Muzaffer was responsible
for this. While drinking alcohol, I said to them, ‘Should we take
him and beat him up?’ They agreed, so we met with Muzaffer.
We argued while drinking alcohol in the minibus and Efehan
started punching Muzaffer. Then Berke also got in the back and
started hitting Muzaffer. I was driving. Then I pulled the minisbus
over to the side and Efehan took the wheel. Berke and I continued
beating Muzaffer. While we were driving, we collided with a car
with license plate number 42, so I took the wheel and we went
to the hospital.”

Oğulcan Güneyer, who also stated that he and his relatives removed
the camera recording device from the minibus in which Muzaffer
Yanıkkollu was beaten while it was in the impound lot, and his
friends Berke Aksoy and Efehan Bolcal were referred to the
courthouse. The three suspects, who were brought before the court
on charges of 'intentional homicide', were arrested.
