Potential movie star...if he ever gets out.

In the Karacabey district of Bursa, 18-year-old Gökçe Alkan was killed 

by her boyfriend, Mustafa B., who slit her throat in a wooded area. 

Alkan's older sister, Özlem Akbay, claimed that her sister had been 

lured into a trap by her boyfriend on the day of the murder:

"He summoned her by saying, 'I had an accident. My car is totaled. 

I'm at the hospital.' My sister went to see him not to meet up, but to 

break up with him. I told her not to go, but she wanted to confront him."

Following the murder, the number of Instagram followers for the killer, 

Mustafa B., increased fifteenfold in a single day! (!) Many young women 

started following the killer! I can understand—to an extent—being curious 

enough to check his Instagram profile and ask, "Who is this killer?"

But why would anyone—especially young women—follow a killer who 

slit the throat of an 18-year-old girl?

When those who followed the murderer were asked questions on social 

media, "Why are you, as a woman, following a woman killer?", young 

girls replied, "He has a good look," "He is handsome," and "He is better

than wimpy men like you." (!)

Despite all the murders of women, why do some women like 'defective', 

criminal and even murderer men?

There are some psychological and scientific answers to this interest: 

First of all, the human brain has an evolutionary curiosity about 

extraordinary events that pose a threat and violate social rules. This 

situation is called 'sensational curiosity'. 

Romantic or sexual attraction towards people who have committed crimes, 

especially those involved in murder cases, is called 'Hybristophilia' or 

'Bonnie and Clyde Syndrome'. This psychological tendency may be 

present among the women who follow Mustafa B. 

In criminology, 'Hybristophilia' is divided into two:

Passive Hybristophilia: The person knows that the criminal is dangerous, 

but believes that he will not experience direct violence. He gets caught up 

in the fantasy of fixing, healing or saving her (savior complex).

Active Hybristophilia: The person is directly excited by the crime 

committed by the criminal and has the desire to participate in the crime. 

There is also the evolutionary illusion of "Strength/Protection":

The male figure, which is evolutionarily dominant, dangerous and can 

break the rules, may create the perception of "a leader who is strong and 

can protect the clan" in the subconscious of some individuals.

The image of the "bad boy" committing crime in modern society may 

overlap with this primitive perception of power.  In addition, childhood 

traumas and attachment disorders are also important factors. Women with 

an anxious attachment style may be attracted to "malfunction" people 

who could harm them or are unattainable.

Individuals who experienced emotional or physical abuse in childhood 

may equate love with danger and unpredictability.  For example, 

someone who answers "He's better than wimpy men like you" as a 

reason for pursuing the murderer may be prone to 'hyristophilia'."

While some of these women are being beaten or subjected to violence, 

they ask for help from men whom they call 'wimps'! (!)

Later, he changes his statement to save his guilty girlfriend. Many 

similar events took place in our country. Of course, a woman who 

is subjected to violence must be helped. Because 'hybristophilic' 

tendencies are well below one in a thousand in the general population.

In other words, a few thousand people following a murderer out of

curiosity or admiration on social media, which has millions of users, 

does not represent the general trend of women in society.

In summary, this is the situation. The increase in the number of followers 

of Mustafa B. represents a very small group.

"Trash & Release": Sanitation Workers Noticed Cache of Drug Pills, Leading to Police Raid, in Istanbul

        One man's garbage is another man's treasure.

On September 30, in the Kağıthane district of Istanbul, municipal 

sanitation workers noticed boxes inside the garbage containers 

while cleaning them.

Workers opening the boxes became suspicious upon discovering a 

large number of pills (!) and notified the police. Police teams 

arriving at the scene examined the contents and found narcotic pills 

mixed with waste materials used in pill manufacturing. After separating 

the pills from the other waste, a total of 10,900 narcotic pills were 

seized. Police teams began reviewing nearby security camera footage 

to identify who had left the boxes.

Police teams determined that the boxes had been left in the containers 

by an individual who collects waste using a handcart. Continuing their 

investigation, the police also obtained footage showing the boxes being 

unloaded from a van. The individuals who unloaded the boxes from the 

van and loaded them onto the handcart were identified as Hulisi Y. (56), 

Abdulkadir D. (46), and Mehmet T. (25). The three suspects were taken 

into custody by the police.

"Round up the usual suspects."

Police teams conducting an operation at a workplace used as a 

manufacturing facility in Fatih seized a large number of empty capsules

 and a precision scale during searches. A search of a warehouse in 

Başakşehir—located as a result of the police teams' investigation—yielded 

785 kilograms of pregabalin and 643,476 narcotic pills. Two additional 

suspects were apprehended and taken into custody during the operation. 

The three suspects were referred to the courthouse after their processing 

at the police station was completed.

Derya Dikici, a former portfolio manager at Denizbank’s Güneşli 

Branch who faced charges of "aggravated embezzlement," was 

apprehended by federal agents in the US in 2024 after living there 

for approximately 13 years. (!)

However (!), a new development has occurred in the legal 

proceedings regarding Turkey’s extradition request. A US federal 

court ruled that Dikici should be released—rather than remaining 

in custody—pending the completion of the extradition process, 

citing new information she presented and "special circumstances."

An investigation had been launched against Dikici over allegations 

that approximately $1.8 million was irregularly transferred from the 

accounts of seven individuals between 2009 and 2011.

A bank audit suggested that the funds had been transferred to the 

accounts of a family that owned oil companies. In her latest defense, 

however, Dikici claimed that she had not carried out the transactions 

of her own volition.

Derya hanım - unwilling pawn of evil mastermind O.A.?!

Dikici argued that she had acted under the pressure and direction of an 

individual named O.A., and that the transferred funds were sent to 

family accounts managed by O.A., and that she did not personally 

benefit from the money.

It was reported that after an investigation was launched against her, 

Dikici traveled from Turkey to the US in 2011 and lived at various 

addresses over the years.

Dikici, who was apprehended by federal agents in Massachusetts in 

April 2024, is currently undergoing extradition proceedings. According 

to court records, Dikici had previously petitioned for his release from 

custody. The latest ruling paves the way for his release pending the 

conclusion of the extradition process.

The claims presented by Dikici in court are merely allegations regarding 

the individuals named in the case file and do not constitute a finding of 

guilt.

"Beat & Release": Fake "Umbrella Gun" Nets Thief Fake Gold, Before He's Nabbed, in Istanbul

Ah yes, the old umbrella as pistol trick!

In the Bayrampaşa district of Istanbul, Necmettin T. entered a jewelry 

store, threatened an employee using an umbrella disguised as a pistol 

inside a bag (!), and stole 20 gold bracelets from the display case. 

Apprehended within two hours along with the stolen items, the suspect 

was found to have previously taken and sold gold from his mother-in-law's 

home to pay off a gambling debt; he reportedly robbed the jewelry store 

in an attempt to replace the gold he had taken after the initial theft was 

discovered. It was subsequently revealed that the gold bracelets he had 

stolen from the jewelry store were fake. (!)

The incident took place yesterday around 15:25 at a jewelry store in the 

Yıldırım Neighborhood of Bayrampaşa. While Emir Gülcemal, an 

employee, was alone in the shop, an individual entered and claimed there 

was a gun inside the bag he was holding, threatening to shoot if his 

demands were not met. The suspect extended the bag toward Gülcemal 

and ordered him to fill it with gold. Gülcemal filled the bag with imitation 

jewelry from the display case. Believing the items to be real gold, the 

suspect took the bag and fled the scene on foot.

Police went on alert after news of the incident broke. During the search 

launched in the direction of the suspect's escape, security camera footage 

revealed that the thief had entered a pastry shop. In a raid on the shop 

approximately two hours after the incident, police teams apprehended the 

suspect, Necmettin T. (39), along with the stolen gold.

The suspect was brought to the Public Order Branch Directorate for 

questioning. The investigation revealed that the suspect had been engaging 

in online gambling and had incurred debts. It was discovered that Necmettin 

T.—who had recently closed his own home and moved in with his mother-in-

law in Istanbul (!)—had learned the location of the gold kept in the house 

under the pretext of storing the gold gifted to his child, and had subsequently 

stolen it.

It was determined that Necmettin T., who had cashed in his mother-in-law's 

gold to pay off gambling debts, planned to rob a jewelry store to replace the 

stolen items after the theft came to light. It also emerged that the suspect did 

not possess a weapon and had intimidated the store employee using an 

umbrella placed inside a bag he was carrying.

Besides gambling too much, Necmettin bey reads comics too much.

Meanwhile, the business owner, Kadir Aydın, and Emir Gülcemal—who 

was manning the counter at the time of the incident—arrived at the Public 

Security Branch Directorate to identify the suspect. Kadir Aydın, who filed

 a complaint against the suspect, said, "I wasn't at the shop; one of our 

employees encountered this situation. He kept his cool and handed the 

robber fake gold pieces instead of the real ones from the display case. 

The suspect, believing them to be genuine, fled the scene. Had the gold 

he handed over been real, our losses would have amounted to nearly 5 

million liras. I would like to thank the Public Security Branch Directorate."

"Lowlife's Final Frontier": Contribution Boxes for Ill Child Stolen Again and Again, in Milas

Five donation boxes, placed in local businesses as part of a fundraising 

campaign for 5-year-old Göktuğ Kurt—who suffers from Duchenne 

Muscular Dystrophy (DMD)—were stolen in the Milas district of 

Muğla. (!)

Bünyamin Atılgan (27), who stole the boxes, has been arrested. The theft 

occurred the other day at a market on Nazmi Akdeniz Street in the Burgaz 

Neighborhood; the boxes had been distributed to businesses as part of a 

campaign approved by the Muğla Governorship to support Göktuğ Kurt.

Teams from the Milas Public Order Bureau examined security camera 

footage and identified the suspect as Bünyamin Atılgan, who was 

apprehended and taken into custody with a sum of stolen money in his 

possession.

It was determined that he had also stolen charity collection boxes intended 

for Göktuğ from four businesses—including a patisserie on Halil Bey

A human skeleton was discovered in the Terme district of Samsun (!). 

An investigation has been launched to identify the person to whom the 

skeleton—found wearing a swimsuit-like garment—belonged.

Around 4:00 PM today, an individual spotted a human skeleton on the 

beach in the Taşlık Neighborhood of Terme district and notified the 112 

Emergency Call Center. Following the report, teams from the Provincial 

Gendarmerie Command’s Criminal Branch Directorate and crime scene 

investigation units were dispatched to the area. Examinations revealed 

that the body had decomposed into a skeleton and was wearing a 

swimsuit-like garment.

Work has been initiated to determine whose skeleton it is.

     Caveman flushed out, 30 years after murdering wife.

Interior Minister Mustafa Çiftçi announced that Nigar Bilgin, who had 

not been heard from for 30 years (!) in the Şavşat district of Artvin, was 

the victim of a murder and that the case has been solved by the 

Gendarmerie.

In a statement posted on his social media account, Minister Çiftçi 

announced that the Gendarmerie Crime Investigation Team (JASAT) 

had solved a murder that had remained concealed for years. Çiftçi said, 

"It has been revealed that Nigar Bilgin, who had not been heard from 

for years in the Şavşat district of Artvin, was a victim of murder.

As a result of meticulous work carried out by our JASAT teams, the 

murder was solved, and the suspects were handed over to justice. A 

local investigation—initiated after Nigar Bilgin failed to apply for a 

new identity card—determined that she had been missing for 

approximately 30 years, that no official missing person report had been 

filed regarding her, and that no digital footprint could be found. 

Interviews revealed information indicating that she had been subjected 

to violence by her legally wedded husband, Z.B."

Z.B., in happier times.

Minister Çiftçi stated, "Our teams, intensifying their investigation, 

determined that Z.B. had been living alone for approximately 20 years 

in a cave (!) located in the forest area outside the village. Acting on 

statements from the suspect's siblings, our District Gendarmerie and 

JASAT teams apprehended Z.B. in an operation. During the site 

reconstruction procedure carried out with the participation of the duty 

public prosecutor, bone fragments and pieces of clothing believed to 

belong to Nigar Bilgin were discovered."

The murder suspect, the spouse Z.B., was arrested. A travel ban was 

imposed on one sibling, A.B., while another, M.B., was placed under 

house arrest. "No matter how much time passes, our security forces 

follow the leads, uncover the truth, and bring those responsible to justice. 

I congratulate our JASAT teams, the Artvin Provincial Gendarmerie 

Command, and all the gendarmerie personnel who contributed to this 

effort," he stated.

Mucize to strangers: "I'd turn back if I were you!" They did.

A cat named 'Mucize' (miracle!) stood guard at the door in Küçükçekmece, 

preventing four female burglars, who had already robbed a 10th-floor 

apartment in a luxury complex in the Halkalı neighborhood of 

Küçükçekmece, Istanbul, set their sights on the Dada family's apartment 

on the 12th floor. 

Seizing the opportunity presented by the homeowners' absence, the 

suspects forced the door open, only to come face-to-face with 'Mucize'—

a feisty cat the family had raised for eight years.  'Mucize' refused to let 

the burglars pass, repelling them with swipes of her paws and hisses 

every time the door was opened, thwarting the suspects—who were 

wearing gloves and kicking at the door—for about 45 minutes (!). 

The fierce struggle between the cat and the suspects, who eventually

fled in desperation, was captured on the complex's security cameras.

According to reports, four unidentified female thieves entered the 

residential complex and first burglarized an apartment on the 10th floor. 

The suspects then proceeded to the 12th floor and forced open the door 

of an apartment belonging to the Dada family, who were not at home. 

However (!), as they attempted to step inside, the thieves faced the wrath 

of "Mucize," a tabby cat known for its fierce temperament that had 

lived with the family for eight years.  As soon as the door was pried open, 

"Mucize" bared its claws and lunged at the thieves, refusing to let them 

take even a single step inside. The suspects put on gloves to fend off the 

cat's attacks and tried to force their way in by kicking through the 

opening. Yet, despite persistent attempts lasting 45 minutes—during 

which they were repeatedly met with the cat's aggressive swipes and 

attacks—the terrified thieves were ultimately forced to flee without 

managing to enter the apartment.

Her softer side with familiar faces...

Bahar Dada, the homeowner, stated that her blood ran cold when she 

watched the complex's security camera footage, and she described the 

courage her cat displayed as follows:

"When a message was shared in the complex's group chat about a 

burglary on the 10th floor, I requested the camera footage for our own 

floor. I got goosebumps when I watched it. They opened the door a full 

four times, but each time, 'Mucize' pounced on them and drove them 

back. 

Our cat has been with us for eight years and has a very fierce 

temperament; even veterinarians tell me, 'Ms. Bahar, don't call this a cat; 

it's a lion cub.' (!) Even guests are too afraid to visit us. The women wore 

gloves and tried kicking their way in, but despite everything, my cat 

wouldn't let that door open; she protected our home. Even my two-and-a-

half-year-old daughter hugged her after seeing the footage, saying, 

'Mucize, thank you for protecting our home.' Something could have 

happened to her at that moment; that was my biggest fear. We 

immediately went to the police station and filed a complaint."

The security camera footage from the apartment hallway clearly shows 

the four suspects attempting to enter each time they cracked the door 

open, retreating as the cat swiped at them with her claws, and finally 

leaving the building in defeat. Police teams have launched an extensive 

operation to apprehend the female burglars.

"Research & Release": Scientific Approach to Proving Noah's Ark, on Mt. Ararat

                 Hmmm, a suspiciously ark-like shape!

Field work has been completed in the research carried out in the area 

where Noah's Ark is claimed to be located in Doğubayazıt district of 

Ağrı. At the end of the studies, which lasted approximately 90 days, 

soil samples taken from 100-150 points were sent to the laboratory for 

examination. Durupınar Formation (Noah's Ark) Research Project 

President Prof. Dr. Cenker Atila said, "We are waiting for the results of 

the samples. We will understand whether there is really Noah's Ark 

here by examining the carbon in organic materials."

Research continues regarding the remains—alleged to belong to Noah's 

Ark—that were discovered on September 11, 1959, by Captain İlhan 

Durupınar, a mapping engineer, in the terrain between the villages of 

Telçeker and Üzengili in the Doğubayazıt district, while he was 

conducting a flight over the region in a Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) 

aircraft to map the Eastern Anatolia Region.

Theme park planning has begun...

Most recently, the Durupınar Formation (Noah's Ark) Research Project 

was launched in the region under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Cenker 

Atila, a faculty member in the Department of Archaeology at Sivas 

Cumhuriyet University's Faculty of Letters. Twenty scientists from five 

different countries participated in the work, which lasted 90 days in 

Doğubayazıt.

Three documentary crews—two from the United States and one from 

the United Kingdom—filmed the work for their documentaries. Scientists 

first conducted mapping, photography, and GPS-based operations in the 

area. Following radar surveys of the region, soil samples were collected. 

Approximately one thousand soil samples from around 100 to 150 

different locations were gathered and sent to the laboratory for analysis.

Stating that the research for 2026 has concluded, Prof. Dr. Cenker Atila 

noted that 20 scientists from five different countries participated in the 

90-day study. Explaining that they first conducted mapping in the area, 

Atila said, "Radar surveys were carried out in the region. The radar work 

was of great importance to us, as it was the method that would provide 

data on underground voids and potential traces of the ship. Once the radar 

work was completed, we began collecting soil samples based on the 

specific points identified."

       What's known generically as "good police work".

Teams from the Gendarmerie Crime Investigation Unit (JASAT) 

identified the perpetrator of the 2015 murder of Meral Babacan—

whose body was found by the roadside in Manisa at that time—

by tracing a car mirror frame discovered at the scene (!); one 

person has been arrested in connection with the incident.

Examining a plastic fragment found at the scene—the only piece 

of evidence available—JASAT teams determined that it was the 

side-mirror housing of a specific vehicle make and model.

Acting on this detail regarding the mirror housing, JASAT teams 

analyzed footage from the Urban Security Management System (KGYS) 

cameras covering the day of the incident, performing time and distance 

calculations.

Avenged, 11 years later.

The investigation confirmed that Babacan had walked toward her 

workplace after getting off the bus and established that a vehicle—

matching the mirror housing found at the scene exactly—had passed

 through the area at the time of the accident.

Tracing the vehicle, the teams discovered that the car had been sold 

to another individual in Şanlıurfa in 2017. A conversation with the 

current owner confirmed that the side mirror had been replaced 

in the past.

R.Ç., the individual driving the vehicle at the time of the incident, was 

apprehended in an operation conducted by JASAT teams and 

subsequently arrested by the duty magistrate.

"We do not overlook any case or any clue." Interior Minister Mustafa 

Çiftçi issued a statement regarding the matter on his social media account.

Thought he'd gotten away with it...

Çiftçi stated the following:

"While reopening and solving previously unresolved cases, we also 

relentlessly pursue crimes committed today and bring the perpetrators to 

justice. Thanks to the strengthening of our forensic capabilities and the 

re-examination of past files, another case that had remained unsolved for

 11 years has been resolved.

Through the dedicated and determined efforts of our Police and 

Gendarmerie forces, 99.3 percent of crimes committed against individuals 

since the beginning of the year have been solved. I congratulate all our 

security forces who work day and night to combat crime, our JASAT 

teams who worked patiently and meticulously to solve this case, and all 

the Gendarmerie personnel who contributed to this effort."

"Flush & Release": Lavish Toilet Renovation for Turkish Grand National Assembly, in Ankara

restrooms in Parliament: Cost per restroom is 612,000 TL (about

$12,500) (!)

The cost of renovation work carried out on restrooms in the Grand 

National Assembly of Turkey’s (TBMM) service buildings has been 

revealed. It has been reported that 29.4 million TL was spent on 

renovating 48 restrooms in preparation for the Parliament's new 

legislative year.

The Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) Department of 

Operations and Construction held a tender on August 27 for the 

"renovation and repair of wet areas in the additional service buildings." 

Twelve companies submitted bids for the tender.

The tender commission eliminated invalid bids (?!), reducing the 

number of bids to nine. It was reported that the highest bid submitted 

was 43 million 437 thousand TL, while the lowest was 29 million 

419 thousand TL.

After reviewing the bids, the tender commission reached its final 

decision on September 23. A contract was signed with the company 

Altay Grup İnşaat on September 23, with a contract value of 

29 million 419 thousand TL.

The tender dossier revealed that, among the restrooms slated for repair 

and renovation, 12 were located in the stone building, 11 in the 

personnel service building, four at the Ala Social Facilities, and 

21 in the personnel service building that formerly housed the 

Court of Cassation.

"Fleece & Release": Hotel Staff Stole $1 Million To Open Their Own Hotel, in Istanbul

                      "It's for a worthy cause...our own."

The general manager, the accounting manager, and six other employees 

were detained in Istanbul's Fatih district on allegations of causing a loss 

of approximately $1 million (!) to the five-star hotel where they worked. 

Security camera footage captured the suspects pocketing money received 

from guests at the reception, and it was determined that the general 

manager and the accounting manager had used the stolen funds to take 

over the operation of a 20-room boutique hotel (!). Five suspects were 

formally arrested in connection with the incident, while three others 

were placed under house arrest.

Ö.Ş., the owner of a 5-star hotel in Fatih, filed a complaint with the 

Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, alleging that his money had 

been stolen by his employees. An investigation launched in response 

uncovered a theft amounting to approximately $1 million.

   Hotel staff very familiar with the "five-finger discount".

During an investigation initiated by the Fraud Bureau, police teams 

examined the hotel's security camera footage and determined that 

reception staff were pocketing cash received from guests. As the 

investigation deepened following this discovery, it was determined 

that the theft was being carried out in an organized manner.

Police teams conducted an operation on September 21 after determining 

that the hotel was operating at a loss despite maintaining an 85% 

occupancy rate for two years. During the operation, the hotel's female 

general manager, Sidar Y. (45), and accounting manager Selman M.K. 

(47) were detained, along with staff members E.K. (27), M.A. (38), 

S.Ç. (52), M.T. (34), M.S.Ö. (19), and A.B. (43), who worked in the 

reception, bellhop, and accounting departments.

Investigations conducted by the Fraud Bureau revealed that the suspects 

misappropriated payments made by customers who booked from abroad 

but failed to arrive, transferred restaurant revenues to their own accounts, 

and stole the fees paid by guests who upgraded to larger rooms after 

being dissatisfied with their original accommodations. It was determined 

that the suspects had stolen approximately $1 million over the past 

two years.

Further investigations revealed that the hotel's general manager, Sidar Y., 

and accounting manager, Selman M.K., had used the stolen funds to lease ,

and operate a 20-room hotel in Fatih (!).

Following the completion of procedures at the Public Order Branch 

Directorate, suspects Sidar Y. and Selman M.K., along with reception staff 

E.K., M.A., and S.Ç., were arrested. House arrest measures were imposed 

on M.T., M.S.Ö., and A.B.
