Akademisyenlerin katilinin ses kaydıyla eşe azmettirme iddianamesi: Yaktın beni Saadet
"Honey, I shot 'em just like you told me to."

On 5 April 2018, Volkan Bayar, an academician at Eskişehir Osmangazi
University, went with his wife Saadet Aylin Bayar to the university's
Training Sciences Institute, where the secretary handed them an envelope.
Inside the envelope Volkan saw a complaint lodged against him by
researcher Yasir Armağan for 'verbal abuse'.

Enraged, Volkan raced to his car to get a gun, took the elevator to the
third floor and shot Armağan dead with 6-7 bullets.  Next, Volkan
went to the office of Cemil Yücel on the first floor and asked secretary
Fatih Ozmutlu "where's Cemil?"  Ozmutlu said he didn't know so
Volkan shot him dead, too.  Volkan went looking for academician
Mikail Yalçın, who tried to bar the door but Volkan shot through it,
killing Yalçın.  Still not done, Volkan went to the ground floor,
killed academician Serdar Çağlak and turned himself in to the police.

Prosecutors and police investigated Volkan for any links to terrorist
organizations but found none.  However, Volkan had a habit of
recording his cellphone conversations and police found one to his
wife immediately following the murder spree, in which Volkan said
to her "this happened because of you."  Along with other evidence,
police had enough reason to charge Saadet Aylin with inciting Volkan
to murder.

Volkan and Saadet Aylın Bayar were in the process of divorce on
the day of the incident and subsequently divorced.  Both Volkan
and Saadet Aylın, who is also an academician at the same university,
will be tried for committing and inciting, respectively, four murders.
