Taking this advice, İbrahim bey solved his own murder.

On the morning of 20 October, İbrahim Altay (70), the married father of
four, went to his house in Büyük Yaylası in Bozçalı town in Reşadiye
district, Tokat province.  That same evening, citizens found Altay stabbed
to death about 100 meters from his neighbor's house.

The Gendarmerie formed a special 85-member team to solve the murder.
The investigators noticed bare footprints near Altay's body and by
following the footprints backwards the Gendarmerie came to the home
of Şenel Kandemir (56).  Altay had run from there after being stabbed by
Kandemir, who was taken into custody, along with his wife Ayşe and
children Emrullah (19), and Ömer (32).

Under questioning, Kandemir confessed that he killed Altay because he
suspected he was having an affair with Ayşe hanım.  Kandemir was then
jailed, as were Ayşe hanım (!) and their three children for assisting in the
murder.  After Altay was stabbed in Kandemir's home, he managed
to flee barefooted to the nearby point where his body was found.
Meanwhile, the Kandemir family members washed down their house
and burned Altay's bloodstained clothes, blankets and sheets left in the
house.
