Strangers in the night... it turned out so wrong for strangers
in the night...
In Istanbul, a thief took a beating from a woman whose purse he stole.
Then, his own phone and money were stolen by a passer-by as the thief
lay on the ground. (!)
Qatari citizen Al Fehaid Saad M. met Lina Samira B., a Moroccan with
French citizenship, at a nightclub in Beyoğlu, Istanbul. Returning to the
woman's hotel, the two argued in her room and the Qatari took her purse,
rushed out of the hotel, only to fall down the steps.
As Al Fehaid Saad M. lay on the ground Lina Samira B. caught up with
him, kicking him and spitting on him until a hotel worker brought her
back into the hotel. Subsequently, a taxi came by and the passenger
alighted, seemingly intending to help the dazed Al Fehaid Saad M.
Instead, the taxi passenger took his cellphone worth 15,000 TL (about
$1,400), $1,100 in cash and 600 TL. The (second!) thief fled on foot but
was later apprehended by the police.
