Cenk Çağın Ünlü (38) was the sales representative for a well-known
winery in Istanbul. His only brother Cem İnan Ünlü (28) is a financier
who went to university in Canada and now deals in the cryptocurrency
Akche in Finland. He speaks 7 languages fluently. (!)
When Cenk bey did not show up for work after the recent Ramazan
holiday, his colleagues alerted the police who went to his home on
Kurşun Street in the Şişli section of Istanbul at around noon. Since no
one answered the doorbell, a locksmith was summoned and police found
Cenk bey in a pool of blood from 21 stab wounds and some razor cuts. (!)
As Cenk bey was buried in 17 Ağustos Cemetery in Gölcük near İzmit,
police began their investigation into his murder. A neighbor told them
that a man with a briefcase was seen leaving Cenk bey's home. Building
security camera footage showed that the man left at 2100 hours on 4 May
and police tracked him to a hotel in Beyoğlu, Istanbul. In a subsequent
police raid on the hotel room, police found Cem bey, along with the knife
and razor he used to kill his brother and his blood-stained clothes.
At the police station, an emotionless Cem bey refused to answer any
questions (in any language!). He was then jailed.
