Luckily, sharks took the day off for the Ramazan holiday.

Erhan Seçkal (40) has served as first captain on many ships all over the
world.  For the past 17 years, Seçkal has worked for the Zodiac Maritime
Company, headquartered in England, and set sail on the 290-meter
'Quorn' cargo ship in January.   On 29 April the Liberian-flagged vessel
left Australia en route to Vietnam, where it was due to dock on 27 May.

However (!), on 2 May the ship was stopped when it was determined
that Seçkal was not on board.  After a search of the ship, the crew
surmised that Seçkal had fallen overboard north of Bali and an anxious
wait began for his family back in Istanbul, as rescue efforts began at
the scene.

Good news arrived when local fishermen told Indonesian authorities
that they had found Seçkal, which prompted this announcement:
"During the Ramazan holiday, there has been a miraculous rescue.
It was noted that Captain Seçkal was missing from the 'Quorn' cargo
ship at mid-day on 2 May, about 30 miles north of Bali.  Efforts by
the ship's crew and the Indonesian RCC to find him were fruitless
but 2.5 days later local fishermen found him and brought him to a
hospital."
