He got the holidays mixed up - the NEXT one is the Feast of
Sacrifice.
In Bursa's Harmancık district at about 2 o'clock in the afternoon
yesterday (the second day of the Ramazan holiday) in Akpınar village,
Ahmet Aslan (60) stabbed his niece to death and wounded her mother,
his own sister and his son-in-law (!).
An argument erupted when Aslan came to the home of his niece
Ayşe Eken and her mother Cennet Eken, who are shepherds. Aslan
stabbed Ayşe hanım in her throat because of a debt issue between the
two of them. When Aslan's sister Cennet hanım, Ayşe hanım's
mother, tried to intervene, Aslan stabbed her too, along with his
son-in-law Engin Göç.
Ayşe hanım died and Cennet hanım and Göç were hospitalized.
Aslan fled the scene but was apprehended by a Gendarmerie team.

Everyone was in a holiday mood...
In Bursa's Osmangazi district, police received a tip about a
woman in a car being subjected to violence. As a result, police
stopped the car driven by Meryem Altaş (34), who told them
that Berat İ (30), sitting in the car's rear seat, had a gun.
Berat İ then got out of the car and fired his gun at Meryem
hanım, killing her. He then pointed the gun at the policemen,
who returned fire and "neutralized" Berat İ., who was seriously
injured and taken to Çekirge State Hospital for treatment.
