"This is too easy."
A shocking operation targeting a female gang was carried out in Ankara.
The gang, which met men through social media and pretended to be their
"lovers," then robbed their victims in their homes using a trap. The
women's "love trap" was exposed through security camera footage.
23 suspects were apprehended in the operation. In the investigation,
15 people, including 8 women, were arrested.
The all-female gang lured men through social media accounts, quickly
gaining their trust and acting as their "girlfriends." They would then
meet the victims in their homes or hotel rooms, where they would
proceed with their planned actions.
They threatened some of the men by video recording their sexual
encounters. They beat others, threatened them with weapons, and
extorted money from them. Not content with this, the gang members
intimidated the victims into sending money from their bank accounts.
Girls just wanna have fun!
It was learned that the suspects threatened their victims by saying,
"We'll scream, we'll tell your family, we'll spread the videos on the
internet." For this reason, it emerged that most of the victims kept their
experiences secret and did not report them to the police.
However, through technical surveillance and field work, the gang
was gradually exposed.
Following physical and technical surveillance by police teams, a
total of 20 separate robbery incidents involving the gang were
identified. In the operations conducted, 23 suspects were
apprehended. Following the investigation at the police station,
15 of the suspects, 8 of whom were women, were arrested by the
court and sent to prison.
