Ailing Family Patriarch Duped by Son, Saved by Grandson

                             Loyalty skips a generation.

In Istanbul, businessman Enver Paralı (78) suffered a brain aneurysm
on 1 August 2013 and was discharged from the hospital after a month
and 11 days.  While Paralı was in the hospital, though, his son Ahmet
Galip Paralı supposedly got a power-of-attorney from his father on 28
August and transferred his father's assets to his own company and to
third parties. 

However (!), Enver bey's grandson Ömerhan Kuru (31) accused his
uncle Ahmet Galip, his mother Hanife Gonca Kuru, his grandmother
Nesrin Paralı, and aunts Ayşegül Hoşgör and Gaye Canayakın of
fraud, filing a criminal complaint in this regard.  An expert witness
testified that the signature on the power-of-attorney was not Enver
Paralı's so it was invalid.

Grandson Ömerhan Kuru submitted a medical document, dated 16
October 2015, to the Istanbul public prosecutor, stating that his
grandfather had dementia and was being fed through his stomach.
Yet, supposedly, on the same day, Enver Paralı agreed to sell his
30% shares in the Uspar Tekstil company, valued at 6.9 million TL
(about $1.7)  to (you guessed it) Nesrin Paralı, Hanife Gonca Kuru,
Ayşegül Hoşgör, Gaye Canayakın and Ahmet Galip Paralı.

In his statement to the prosecutor, Ahmet Galip Paralı claimed that
he was not at the notary or the hospital on 28 August 2013 when
the power-of-attorney supposedly arranged for by Enver Paralı
was prepared.  However (!), the prosecutor subsequently determined
that, based on HTS (Historical Traffic Search/telephone) records,
Ahmet Galip bey was present at Istanbul Florence Nightengale
Hospital from 11:01 to 16:22 on that day.

As for grandson Ömerhan bey, he told Milliyet that he would defend
his defenseless grandfather to the end.
