When your financial batteries run out, steal real ones.
In Seyhan, Adana, 3 batteries were stolen from trucks at a vegetable
market on different days. Police reviewed surveillance footage and
identified Ziya Gökhan Atalan, an inveterate thief, as the culprit.
When Atalan returned to the market for another theft police arrested
him.
It turned out, though, that 9 months ago Atalan had inherited 2 million
TL from his late father but after acquiring the money Atalan squandered
it all within 3 months, living the high life. He frequented bars and
nightclubs, rented expensive cars and went on vacations. When the
money was gone Atalan returned to thievery to support his drug habit.
After being taken into custody, Atalan confessed to the battery thefts
and was jailed.
Seyhan is in the western part of Adana city.
