COVID, a relentless innovator.
After permission was granted, as of 1 July, for wedding halls to open -
mindful of social distancing, masks and hand sanitizers - proprietors
at a wedding hall in Tekirdağ's Saray district went one step further
by installing a "mannequin bride and groom" so gold gifts could be
pinned on the happy couple without guests actually touching
them. (!)
When Sinem and Sinan Dağ first arrived at the wedding hall they
were surprised to see their "statuesque" bride and groom stunt
doubles had arrived ahead of them. Nevertheless, the wedding
proceeded, the couple was congratulated by guests and their gifts
pinned on the mannequins.
