R.K. telling police to stay away until Suat Yüksekbağ was
absolutely dead last week at the Batman bus station.
In Batman last week, Suat Yüksekbağ was stabbed to death by
brothers R.K. and A.K. at the city bus terminal. Now the bitter
details about the 'blood feud' have begun to come out. Suat's father
Nuri Yüksekbağ explained that his son was killed because Nuri hadn't
payed the expected 'blood money': "Last year they wanted 100,000 TL
from me because my elder son had been involved in an a murder in
Kozak district. It's not clear that my son was even involved in the
incident. There were 5,6 people at the scene of the incident."
According to court records, Faruk Yüksekbağ (23) and his friends
got into a fight with Ozan and Nurullah Ketir in Kozak. During the
fight Faruk allegedly stabbed Ozan to death. Faruk is currently in
prison awaiting trial.

"The dead man's family wanted 50,000 from my elder son's
father-in-law and that was paid. But I didn't have the 100,000 they
demanded so I went to Kütahya to work in the fields to earn the
money. But they wouldn't wait and killed Suat in lieu of the money.
They're not humans. Suat finished his military service 3 months
ago and he was coming to work with me in Kütahya to help raise
the money."
Nuri criticized the Batman police for not intervening after Suat
had been stabbed the first time, acceeding to the K brothers'
insistance that no one approach Suat until he was dead.
