friends Kambiz G. and Hakan T. at about five-thirty o'clock on the
morning of 26 February in the Etiler section of Istanbul. While the

called his nephew to demand 2 million TL (about $140,000) in ransom.
However (!), the nephew contacted the police who reviewed video
footage to identify the 7-member kidnapping gang. Police tracking
revealed that the gang had taken Ali S. from the house where he
was being held to a café, where they expected to get the ransom.
