Bilgiç didn't let this whopper get away.

Bilgiç's post reads as follows:

Me with the thief (prior to his booking)

Happy ending
Didn't I tell you I'd bring you down.
I was in torment for 5 days
Now it's your turn.
My 1500 TL equipment.
Ever since you put it on the internet for a meager
200 TL, although you pay 600 TL for a tattoo,
thanks to the pursuit and organization of my pals
(you're toast). Thanks guys!

In Antalya, semi-professional fisherman Ali Bilgiç noticed that the
fishing rod set that he kept on his boat had been stolen.  As it happens,
Bilgiç is the director of a 6,000-member amateur fishermen social
media group.  Looking at his group's postings a week after the theft,
Bilgiç saw that a fishing rod set very much like his own was up for
sale at a very cheap price.

Bilgiç met with the 'seller', B.U. (19), as if he was a prospective
customer for the set.  The two took a selfie together and then
Bilgiç took B.U. to the police station. (!)

Don't touch it unless you're gonna buy it!

In Adana's Seyhan district, a young man entered a market in
the Serinevler neighborhood wearing a scarf and a hood.  He
acted like a customer at first, picking up chips and lemonade to
purchase.  Then, however, he pulled out a gun, which turned
out to be a blank-shooter, and ordered clerk Hakan Celik to open
the cash register.

Çelik explained that the register was locked and the store owner
had the key. The wily thief, though, told Çelik to read the barcode
of a chocolate bar into the register, which then opened, enabling
the thief to make off with 3,000 TL (about $600).

Police looked at security video and saw that the thief had touched
the chips and the lemonade so they ran his prints and got a match
for one Yasin Yıldız, who got a passport 7 years ago.  After the
robbery, Yıldız fled to a hotel in İskenderun where he was arrested
in possession of 2,700 TL and the blank-shooting handgun.
