"Block & (No) Release": Two Women Stop Traffic in Yalova and Istanbul

    "No Parking!...except for chairs."

In Yalova, an argument erupted between two women over a 

parking spot in front of a café. One of the women wanted to 

park her car in front of the café but the other, a café worker, 

objected, saying that parking there would hinder access to the café. 

So (!), the café worker sat in a chair  to prevent the other women 

from parking and ultimately prevailed.

In Istanbul, a woman whose identity has not yet been learned, lay

down in the middle of a road and became engrossed in her telephone.

The honking of irate drivers had no noticeable effect on the woman.

Local residents reacted angrily to the woman's behavior, saying she

had first been on ıop of a vehicle and then lay on the road.
