Not much of a balcony...a feather would overload it.
In the local elections held yesterday in Denizli province's Tavas district,
Kadir Tatık, the CHP (Republican Peoples Party) candidate for mayor,
came in first. Many of Tatık's supporters gathered in front of the party's
building on Karaoğlanoğlu Avenue to celebrate, while party leaders
filled two balconies up above.
However (!), one of the balconies could not bear the load and collapsed,
resulting in serious injuries to three party members on and below the
balcony, along with less serious injuries sustained by five others. (!)
