"Autocorrect" Defense in Alimony Case Denied Judge's Charity

In Bursa, M.K. sent his estranged wife S.K. 300 TL (about $30) each

month via internet banking as alimony but in the "remarks" box M.K.

wrote "sadaka" ("charity") instead of "nafaka" ("alimony").  Taking 

exception to this, S.K. had her lawyer have measures against M.K. taken

for failing to pay "alimony."  (!) 

In his defense, M.K. claimed that he had indeed paid alimony but "I was

a victim of my telephone's autocorrect function that changed "nafaka" to

"sadaka" each time. I didn't write "sadaka" on purpose."

The court, however, ruled in favor of S.K., saying that the word "nafaka"

must be written when accompanying the alimony payment.  M.K. was 

ordered to send the money again.
