Straight out of central casting.
Firefighters who came to put out a fire on the second floor of a 3-story
building in Gebze district of Kocaeli province on 8 October 2022 found
the burned body of 15-year-old high school student Büşra Kabataş. The
police suspected foul play and discovered that Taner Yaylacı (29), who
had been fired from a job in Büşra's mother Aylin Çetin's workplace, had
entered the home, bound the young girl's hands and feet, stabbed her 20
times and strangled her to death. Yaylacı then started the fire to cover
his tracks.
As Yaylacı was preparing to flee to Tokat he was apprehended by police,
charged with "murder with monstrous and torturous intent" and jailed.
Police then investigated Yaylacı's cellphone and computer, finding that
his searches included the following topics:
