He made a grand (theft) entrance...
In Beyoğlu, Istanbul, on 15 October, medics and an ambulance
were called when news came of a person passed out in a back
street. The patient was taken to Taksim Training and Research
Hospital on a stretcher and when he came to in his hospital room
he began to wait for treatment.
However (!), the patient became impatient, got up and cruised the
hospital halls, spotting an unattended purse from which he took
500 liras (about $14.50). He then scampered out of the hospital.
The purse's owner filed a police complaint and based on
hospital admittance records, the culprit was identified as Z.J.
(24). Police tracked him down at the same address he was
taken from initially and jailed him.
...and a hasty exit.
