                Sometimes, lawyers actually do help.

In May 2019 in Bursa, three individuals, one of them a woman,
entered Mustafa M.'s bakery and robbed 60 TL from the cash
register, 110 TL left on a table, and 530 TL from the pocket of
a jacket hanging on a coat rack.  The three thieves then hopped
on a motorcycle and fled.

Police nabbed the male thieves Serkan Bilican (26) and S.E.
(17).  As for the woman involved, based on video images
police took M.K. (25) into custody.  Subsequently, all three
were released but at a court hearing on 8 October 2020,
Bilican, who admitted guilt, was sentenced to 3 years 9
months in jail.

As for M.K., she denied guilt but was, nevertheless, hit with
a 3 year-1 month-15 day jail sentence, which was approved
so she went to jail, but was released a week later because of
the COVID pandemic (!).

Last month, M.K. learned from police, who were looking for
her again, that a female thief using M.K.'s ID had been arrested.
M.K.'s lawyer Barış Aydın investigated the matter and found
that the woman had straight hair, whereas M.K. wears her
hair in an "African braids" style.  A review of the images
from the May 2019 robbery incident showed that the female
thief then had straight hair. (!)

Ultimately, M.K. was acquitted of involvement in the May
2019 robbery "by a hair", so to speak.  Bilican and S.E.
finally apologized to M.K. for falsely incriminating her. (!)
