Azman's lack of thumbs has so far not been
an obstacle.
Hamza Mutlu (24) and Özge Kubra Mace (25) work together
in the emergency room at Arhavi State Hospital in Artvin. A
year ago the couple decided to hitchhike together around
Turkey and lately they've been taking their cat 'Azman', which
they adopted as an abandoned kitten from the street 4 months
ago, with them.
Thanks to Hamza bey and Özge hanım's thumbs, Azman has
so far hitchhiked to Rize, Erzurum, Kars, Bingöl, Samsun,
Giresun, Diyarbakır, Trabzon and Mardin. The threesome's
latest trip was to Ovacık in Tunceli province, where they saw
the Munzur Gözeleri (waterfalls from the waters of the Munzur
Mountains).
Özge hanım explained that "at first, Azman got used to riding
on a bike in a backpack. And since we didn't have the heart to
leave Azman behind, the cat comes with us when we hitchhike,
too.
