In Bilecik the day before yesterday, Afghan Naimi N. (26) got into an
argument with his live-in girlfriend Tajikistan native Feride R. (30). The
argument turned into a fight and Naimi N. grabbed a meat cleaver,
cutting off five of the woman's fingers. (!)
Neighbors heard Feride hanım's screams and informed the police and
medics, who gathered up her cut-off fingers and rushed her to a hospital.
Naimi N. and his father Wahıd N. were captured by police an hour later
in another house where they were hiding out. Their Turkish residency
permits were for another city, rather than Bilecik. Both were sent to
Bilecik's M-type prison.
