                      A very bizarre series of events...

Emre Tyler Mays (17), the son of Randolph Ward Mays and Figen
Mays, who own the wine and foods company ADCO, got into a fight
with his older brother last night in the Eyüpsultan section of Istanbul.
Emre called the police and filed a complaint about his brother. But
because Ermre was underage police insisted that he be taken to Şişli
Etfal Hospital, in light of domestic family violence statutes.

At half past midnight, as Emre was being taken out of the ambulance
on a stretcher, he was stabbed to death by Akın Kutlu (22), who
mistook Emre for someone who had attacked his father and brothers
at their restaurant in Kağıthane (!) earlier in the evening.  Akın had
brought his father G.K. and brothers D.K. and M.K. to the hospital
for treatment of stab wounds.


Eyüpsultan district stretches from the Golden Horn to the 
Black Sea coast. Şişli district (m) is to its east.
