Forensics Lab 8.3: Revealing Latent Fingerprints Using Ninhydrin ...
               Active ingredient is hydroxychloroquine.

In Ankara, A.T. rented homes in rich neighborhoods, passed himself
off as a businessman and then robbed his neighbors' houses, along
with their luxury cars.  After months of policework, A.T. has finally
been caught.

A.T. was especially careful not to leave any fingerprints during his
robberies but police were able to use a special method to combine
fragments of his fingerprints into a whole.  A.T.'s fingerprint fragments
were colored with the chemical 'ninhydrin' and put together with 'super
glue' (!) to create a 3-dimensional tissue.

This achievement enabled police to track down A.T., who has a long
criminal record for thievery.  When police nabbed A.T., he was
preparing to leave Ankara to ply his trade in Turkey's vacation spots.
In his statement to police, A.T. explained that he would hold on to the
cars he stole for a year before selling them.  In a search of his residence,
police found keys for various makes of cars, bracelets, necklaces and
other valuables.

A.T., who had withdrawn 5 million TL (about $750,000) from a
number of bank accounts, told police that "for me, robbery is a
hobby." (!)

ANKARA’NIN BAŞ BELASI TUTUKLANDI!
A.T.'s loot included some light reading, left, for downtime.
