Not a snowball's chance in hell of staying in Tajikistan.
The Kartopu (Snowball!) Apartımanı building in Hatay's Belen district
collapsed in the earthquake of 6 February and 20 residents lost their
lives. The Hatay public prosecutor began an investigation and
determined that Murat Göksel Dalkılıç was responsible for the building's
technical matters and a warrant for his arrest was issued the day before
yesterday.
However (!), minutes before the arrest warrant was issued, Dalkılıç
boarded a plane at Istanbul Airport at 1825 hours and flew to
Tacikistan (!). When he arrived there, though, Tajik authorities,
alerted by the Turks, seized Dalkılıç and sent him back to Istanbul,
where he arrived at 0630 hours the next day and was promptly
taken into custody, charged with "causing death and injury by neglect"
and jailed.
