Actors from the Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir and Trabzon State Theater
companies have begun a 50-day tour of 25 provinces and 57 districts,
mostly in eastern and southeastern Anatolia. The performances
will mostly be plays for children.
The "Kamyon Teatrosu" troop from Trabzon presented "The
Wizard of Oz" in the Cumhuriyet Middle School courtyard the
day before yesterday, for its first presentation of the tour.

In accordance with COVID-19 measures, masks were distributed
to the audience, social distancing was enforced and disinfectant
liquid was made available for hand sanitization.
Elvan Saliha Karahasan, the head of the Trabzon group, explained
that the troop's tour will extend to 18 August and the next stop is
Tunceli.
