Space Station crew called for take-out.

Adana 'kebap' restaurant owner Yaşar Aydın tried to send a 'boru kebap'
(pipe kebap) into outer space via a helium balloon that he prepared with
a 30-person group. After flying for 3 hours, the airborne kebap-balloon
contraption exploded in the stratosphere and plummeted into the sea off
Hatay.

Aydın holds a patent for boru kebap (!) and was prompted to send his
progeny into outer space in honor of  "12 April International Manned
Space Day".  Together with his 30-person group, Aydın designed a
heat-resistant styrofoam box, equipped with a camera for the journey,
which was then hooked to a helium gas weather balloon.  After onions
and garnish were added, the balloon took flight from Menekşe quarter
of Sarıçam district amid great applause.

Anxious pre-launch moments at the Cape Menekşe
Kebapodrome.

During its approximately 3-hour flight into the air to a height of 35-40
kilometers, the 'kepabonaut' was documented by the on-board camera
before the balloon exploded in the stratosphere and the would-be space
traveler fell into the sea 121 kilometers from the launch point, off the
coast of Hatay's Payas district.

Thanks to a GSM tracking device on board the kebap spacecraft,
Aydin and his colleagues went to the crash site, boarded a boat and
retrieved the 'kebaponaut' 8 miles off shore.  Upon their return to
Menekşe, Aydin and his team were met with fireworks and the
first 'kebaponaut into space' project was deemed a success.
