Has a thing for Vanna White, too.

On 21 December 2021, municipal workers at the "Bursa Millet Bahçesi"
(Bursa National Garden) noticed that the "M" in "Millet" had been stolen
so they called the police, who then arrived at the scene on Stadyum
Avenue in the Gaziakdemir neighborhood of Bursa's Osmangazi district.

Police determined from video footage that the thief was Murat Yeşilcam,
who had a record for two other crimes.  Yeşilcam was arrested and
confessed to stealing the "M" and selling it for 35 TL (about 15 US cents).
A case was brought against Yeşilcam with a sentence of from 3 to 7 years
in jail requested.

The Bursa municipality evaluated that Yeşilcam was the culprit in the
theft of other letters (!), too, and demanded that he pay 40,000 TL
(about $2,700) in compensation.  Yeşilcam, though, denied that he had
stolen the other letters.  His lawyer, Burak Bilgin, conceded that his
client could be charged with the theft of the "M" but objected to fine
the municipality wanted him to pay.  The court agreed and Yeşilcam
was ordered to pay 470 TL for a new "M", the replacement price
determined by municipal workers.

Bilgin noted that his client had stolen the "M" solely to sell it for money
and that he had no political aims whatsoever.
