Say a prayer for them.
In Konya last evening at about 5 o'clock, Prof. Dr. Tahir Uluç (46), an
academician focusing on Islamic Philosophy in the Philosophy and
Religion Department of the Ahmet Keleşoğlu Theology Faculty at
Necmettin Erbakan University, was sitting in his office when his
colleague in the same department, Prof. Dr. Galip A., with whom Uluç
had previously had a problem over a date for leave, came in with his
brother İzzet A., who works in the tourism sector.
An argument ensued (as it often does) and Uluç was wounded in his
leg by a gunshot. The A.-Team brothers fled, while Uluç was taken
to a hospital for treatment of his wound. Police took Galip A. into
custody but his brother is still on the lam. The university has started
a judicial and administrative investigation into the incident.
