Police brutality.
In Efeler district of Aydın province, policeman Suat T. cut off the car
in which his girlfriend Hatice Büşra Çetinkaya (28), who is also a
police officer, and her mother Güngör Çetinkaya were riding and
sprayed the vehicle with bullets. Eight bullets hit Hatice hanım and
she died at the hospital. Güngör hanım remains under treatment.
The incident occurred yesterday at 1500 when Suat T., who serves
in Istanbul, cut off and then opened fire on the car of Hatice hanım,
who was posted to the police force in Afyonkarahisar. After his
arrest, Suat T. explained to police that he killed Hatice hanım because
she wanted to break up with him. (!)
