Acting on divine guidance.
Last Saturday, Yusuf A. (42), who works in the emergency room at
Çaycuma State Hospital in Zonguldak, made his son A.O.A. (16) get
into his car and then stopped at a wooded area along Veli village road.
With the knife he brought with him, Yusuf A. cut the back of his son's
neck, left the boy there to bleed to death and then turned himself into
the Gendarmerie. (!)
A.O.A. was found passed out in his own blood at the spot Yusuf A.
showed to the Gendarmerie. The boy was taken to Bülent Ecevit
University Health Center, where he remains under intensive care.
Father knows best...
Yusuf A. was taken into custody and explained to police that he had
dedicated himself to God's path and even tried to commit suicide but the
tie he used to hang himself snapped. (!) In his sleep, Yusuf A. had a
dream in which he was told to kill his son: "I put my son in the car and
told him that I would sacrifice him for God's path. My son accepted
this and we went to the spot, where I took out a knife I got from a
butcher, sat my son down in front of me and cut the back of his neck.
Then I put his coat over him and went to the Gendarmerie post to turn
myself in. I have no regrets. I dedicated my son to God's path."
Yusuf A. was jailed.
