                                  Let sleeping holes lie.

Yeter Yılmaz (52) lived in Marmara Ereğlisi district of Tekirdağ
province and was in a relationship with Kemal K. (51), a local
married farmer with two children, until he shot her dead and buried
Yeter hanım in a hole in a field on his farm.

On 23 March, Yeter hanım and Kemal bey rode in his car to a field
outside town in the village of Yeniçiftlik.  For some as yet unknown
reason, the two argued and Kemal bey shot Yeter hanım in the head,
killing her.

With a shovel he had, Kemal bey buried the dead woman in a hole
in the field and left the scene.  A day later, Kemal bey threw his gun
into Türkmenli Pond but he wanted to cover up Yeter hanım's "grave"
more thoroughly so through his son Ali K., he contacted back-hoe
operator Ö.Ş., telling him "treasure hunters dug up my field and
created a hole.  I want you to smooth it over."  For 200 TL (about $25)
Ö.Ş. agreed and came to the field to smooth over the hole.

                Enough already! ("Yeter" means "enough")

However (!), the next day Kemal bey went back to Ö.Ş. and said
"there's a woman's body in the hole you covered up.  We have to get
it out so bring your machine back and let's do it.", this time offering
Ö.Ş. 5,000 TL for the job.  Ö.Ş., though, was startled by this
development and related the matter to the district Gendarmerie
Command, which sent a team to the field to recover Yeter hanım's
body.

The Gendarmerie took Kemal bey, his son Ali K. and Ö.Ş. into
custody.  Kemal bey was jailed and the other two released on judicial
supervision.
