Looks like Fatma hanım got one good porcelain cup hit
in too before the end.
In Hacınaipli village of Canik district in Samsun province,
Yücel Günegül (48) argued with his wife Fatma Günegül (41),
the mother of their four children, at around 11 o'clock the night
before last. As the argument grew more heated, Yücel bey began
to beat Fatma hanım and to hit her over the head with porcelain
cups (!), killing her.
Subsequently, Yücel bey fled the scene in his light truck but
was stopped by the police and failed a breathalyzer test for
alcohol. Yücel bey resisted the police and was taken into
custody.
However (!), police notice blood stains on Yücel's clothing,
upon which he confessed that he had killed his wife. It was
also learned that Yücel bey had spent time in jail for stabbing
his daughter. He was put into the Samsun T-type prison. Fatma
hanım had obtained a restraining order against her husband but
later relented and had it removed.
