"Torch & Release": 10-Year-Old Boy Lights Stack of Paper Towels on Fire at Supermarket in Bursa

     Instead of Spiderman or Batman, Nero is his hero.

In Bursa's Nilüfer district last Friday at about 1430, a 

10-year-old used a cigarette lighter to set a huge stack of 

paper towels in a supermarket display on fire (!).  

The boy, named M.R:K:, raced out of the store after 

setting the fire, while store employees contacted the fire

department and firefighters arrived to douse the flames. 

Police found the child in Nilüfer's Cumhuriyet neighborhood

and determined that M.R.K had previously been involved in

a fire in  a grass field.  The boy was taken under state

supervision and an investigation launched regarding his 

family.
