Evil spirits couldn't fit in the car with Yeşilot and
had to be transported to court separately.
In Antalya, Tali Yükel Yeşilot is on trial for bilking many
people at séances with promises to rid them of evil spirits
and for sexual assault. The prosecutor has requested a jail
term of 24 years. His wife Öznur Yeşilot is on trial, too,
and faces 7 years in prison.
At the hearing, one of Yeşilot's victims, E.O., testified that
Yeşilot had said to her father "You're a religious man. Do
you know what your daughter did in London?" , in an
effort to incite the father to have E.O.'s sibling kill her.
E.O. explained further that the Yeşilot's had given her
theater training (!) in Denizli and they had scammed her
out of 2 million TL, saying that the money would be
returned when the evil spirits were eliminated.
E.O. still suffers blurred vision from seeing
too many evil spirits.
However, "when the time came for the money to be
returned, they did the same thing to us that they did in
Ermenek two years ago. As will be recalled, Tali Yüksel
Yeşilot was tried for inciting Hakan Narlı to kill his ex-wife
Şerife S. and 4 relatives but Yeşilot was acquitted, although
he was convicted of exploiting religious beliefs and
emotions. The Yeşilot's tried to do the same thing to us."
Continuing, E.O. said that "they tried to spread the slander
that my fiancé's family put a spell on me. The Yeşilot's
wanted to get my family to kill my fiancé and his family.
But they didn't succeed. If we hadn't brought this incident
to court quickly probably some of us would be in jail and
some of us would be dead."
