Oh, to have a $1Million in Kızılsöğüt!
In the town of Kızılcasöğüt in Banaz district of Uşak province, the
Gendarmerie seized a $1 million dollar U.S. banknote (!). The
banknote was found in a search of Y.K., one of three people taken into
custody. An investigation is underway to determine where Y.K. got the
bill.
Fine print may need a Turkish translation.
The $1 Million Dollar banknote was printed by the "International
Association of Millionaires" as a 'prestige' item. It cannot be used as
legal tender but is bought and sold by collectioners for ten of thousands
of dollars.
Banaz is at upper right.

By the way, today's exchange rate is 5.73 TL to the Dollar...
Police in Istanbul determined that a gang was planning to flood
the market with fake U.S. dollars prior to the upcoming Kurban
Bayramı (Feast of Sacrifice) that starts on 12 August. A raid
was conducted at a location in Esenyurt on 19 July but police
found nothing...until they looked behind a panel marked "high
voltage".
Inside the secret "high voltage" room police found $271,150,000 (!)
in counterfeit U.S. dollar bills. Five people were taken into custody,
including B.Ç., a former police official who was fired because of
his links to the Fetullah Gülen Terror Organization (FETÖ). As a
result of this FETÖ connection, the investigation has been widened.
Two suspects remain at large.
Esenyurt again!
