Antalya'daki “Ölüm büyüsü” davasında 75 yıl hapis cezası kararı ...
Ghostbuster foiled!  Now, who ya gonna call?!

In 2018, Tali Yüksel Yeşilot was sentenced to 75 years in jail in a
2 million-lira (about $300,000 at today's exchange rate) fraud case
in Antalya, which involved Yeşilot promising to "break a spell".
Now, Yeşilot will also be sentenced for helping in the murder of
five people in Ermenek district of Karaman province three years
earlier.

On 27 June 2015, Hakan Narlı was sentenced to five life terms for
killing his ex-wife Şerife Şahin and 4 others in Ermenek.  Yeşilot,
who was living in Antalya at the time and labeled himself as an
"evil spirits hoja", was a suspect in the case because it was alleged
that he had coaxed Narlı to commit the murders by "inciting to murder
and expoiting religious beliefs and emotions."

The corpulent Yeşilot is said to have posed for this poster,
which only added to the evil spirits' grudge against him.

Yeşilot was acquitted of "inciting to murder" in Narlı's case but the
'Yargıtay' (a higher appeals court) has now voided Yeşilot's acquittal.
According to the 'Yargıtay''s decision, Narlı had sought out Yeşilot
because of his son's marital problems, hoping Yeşilot could resolve
the couple's problems.  Yeşilot conducted a seance with Narlı's
ex-wife Şerife Şahin, at which Yeşilot learned that Narlı's daughter-in-
law had slept with her father-in-law (Narlı), which had prompted her
husband to disdain her and seek a divorce. (!)

Three or four days before Narlı committed the murders, Yeşilot called
Narlı and related the accusation against him, telling Narlı "these people
deserve a bullet! You have to cleanse your honor! What kind of a man
are you?!"  Incited by Yeşilot's words, Narlı went to his ex-wife's home
and committed the murders.   At his trial, Narlı testified that Yeşilot had
incited him to hatred vis-a-vis his ex-wife and ex-mother-in-law.

Now, in a separate case being heard in an Antalya court, Yeşilot was
heard on a tape discussing the Ermenek murders and this evidence
convinced the 'Yargıtay' of Yeşilot's guilt in inciting Narlı to murder in
2015.  So, in addition to the 75-year sentence Yeşilot got for the
2-million TL fraud case, in which his wife was sentenced to 19 years
2 months in jail, Yeşilot will also get a jail term for inciting Narlı to
murder his ex-wife and four others in Ermenek in 2015. (!)
