Aygün getting a grease job in and out of the ring.
Yesterday, grease wrestling champion Hakkı Aygün (25) was shot and
killed by Umut Can Ferah (20), in Muratpaşa district of Antalya. A
few hours later, Ferah turned himself in to police and surrendered his
revolver, as well.
Ferah explained in his statement that Aygün had beat him up so
this was his revenge, adding that "two years ago, I was with Yavuz
Tayfur, who fought with Aygün. After the fight, I switched to
Aygün's side but he beat me up and I couldn't stomach it. So I
shot him."
On 24 March 2018, Aygün was the target of an armed attack in
Muratpaşa and police are trying to determine whether the two
attacks are connected. Aygün's relative Bayram Tıraş, who claimed
the body, asserted that Ferah was put up to the murder by the
attacker (Tayfur) of two years ago. Continuing, Tıraş noted that
"Umut Can Ferah called my nephew (Aygün) and said 'the person
that shot you (in 2018) also beat me up. I'm going to the police
station to file a complaint.' So the two of them went to the police
station and complained."
Sadly, it's here too.
"Afterwards, as Ferah was getting out of the car my nephew gave
him 100 TL to get himself something to eat. But then Ferah fired
three shots at him (Aygün). What a shame for young people to
die at this age."
In the 2018 incident, Yavuz Tayfur went to a café to talk with
Aygün and Mehmet Ali Avcı. An argument erupted and Tayfur
fired his gun at Aygün and Avcı. Tayfur was arrested but released
under judicial control a month later.
