                                Gandhi would approve.

In Ağıl village of Erzincan's Kemaliye district, the Fimar Mining
company has continued its search for iron deposits despite complaints
from many village associations and officials in the district. In the face
of these protests, one of Fimar's officials threatened the villagers by
saying "I'll bring 200 soldiers here!"

Fimar Expeditionary Force Commander (FEFC)
issuing warning of impending military ops.

In response, the Ağıl villagers, who for months have been fighting
against Fimar's explorations in a triangular area made up of  Kemaliye,
Arapgir and Divrigi, have adopted a protest technique started by Onur
Güngör in Ordu's Fatsa district 25 days ago: reading books in their
bare feet all along Mani Yolu in the village. (!)

The Kemaliye-Arapgir-Divriği triangle is at bottom left.
