Last week in Istanbul police seized 258 kilograms of cocaine at the
city's Ambarlı port and the 'chemist' involved turned out to be
Englishman Anthony Murray, whose nickname is 'the doctor' and
who used to be the road manager for the music groups Happy
Mondays and Black Grape. (!)

On 30 September, Istanbul narcotics police seized the 258 kilograms
of cocaine hidden in a container on a ship coming from Colombia.
The cocaine was mixed in with 120 tons of fertilizer. After the seizure,
15 individuals were taken into custody as the Turkey-based element
of the drug gang and one of them was 'Doctor' Murray, who had come
to Istanbul from England to separate the cocaine from the fertilizer.
(Un)Happy Mondays
Murray has previously been involved in drug trafficking and his two
sons have been linked to the drug trade, as well. Murray also remains
close friends with the members of Happy Mondays and Black Grape.
