One of those 'you have to see it to believe it' type things.

In Zonguldak the day before yesterday at 1630, Fırat Başaran (7)
lost his balance while riding his bike in front of his house and fell
from a height of 5 meters, whereupon an iron rod went through his
mouth and out of the top of his head. (!)



AFAD (disaster relief) rescuers cut off the exposed portion of the
iron rod at Zonguldak Atatürk State Hospital under the direction of
doctors.  Subsequently, 7 doctors participated in a 5-hour operation
and successfully removed the iron bar from inside Fırat's head.  The
child is conscious but his life is not yet out of danger.
