"Beat & Release": This Guy Can't Get Arrested

The look says it all: "I've got a 'get out of jail free' card!"

In Şişli, Istanbul, Mehmet Hanifi Bozaslan was taken into custody for

beating his girlfriend Tuğba Erçakar (26) but released.  Next, 

Bozaslan was taken into custody for threatening Erçakar's friend

and released again. (!)

On 9 December, Bozaslan beat Erçakar, who wanted (understandably)

to break up with him, in the home of her friend Ceylan A.  The entire

episode was caught on video.  Nevertheless, Bozaslan was released

and then released again after threatening Ceylan A.  

At the courthouse, the two women had their lawyer Ayşegül Mermer 

explain that "We submitted more evidence today.  The images 

speak for themselves - as soon as he came in he began to attack her.

Also, he threatened 'I'll kill you!' and he even said how he would kill

her."  Mermer added that a restraining order has been placed on 

Bozaslan.  Erçakar stated that "I wasn't able to sleep anyway and then

I became even more tense after he sent the threatening messages. I

just hope that justice  prevails before I die." (!)
