His legacy lives on.
Croatian M..R. (72), who is a German citizen, arrived at Istanbul
Airport from Colombia but he was acting suspiciously so his bags
were x-rayed. Finding an unusual density, police had a drug-sniffing
dog examine the bags. In the end, two kilograms of cocaine were
found secreted behind 12 pictures of the late Argentinian football star
Diego Armando Maradona. (!) M.R. was arrested.

Diplomatic cover boy.
Veysel Filiz, the former press attaché at the Turkish Embassy in
Brussels and, on paper, the epitome of an upstanding citizen, was
caught with 100 kilograms of heroin (!) at the Hamzabeyli border
gate on the Turkey-Bulgaria frontier.
The police report of the heroin seizure was obtained by Sözcü and
reads as follows:
"On 8 December 2020, at 20:25 hours, a vehicle driven by Veysel
Filiz attempting to cross from Turkey to Bulgaria, along with
passengers R.F. and H.F.A., was taken to be x-rayed but Filiz
objected, claiming he had diplomatic immunity, although he
failed to produce a diplomatic passport."
Instead, Filiz showed police a diplomatic card issued to him by
Belgium that expired on 15 May 2018. As a result, the car was
x-rayed and an unusual density detected. Drug-sniffing dog 'Maske'
reacted excitedly to the said density in the trunk and police seized
98.740 kilograms of heroin worth about 50 million TL (about $6.5
million).
Filiz claimed he didn't know how the drugs could have been put
into his car (!), suggesting it was a conspiracy against him.
Evidently because of Filiz's close ties to AKP (ruling party)
politicians, news of the seizure was forbidden but leaked out anyway.
