Contract with Weight Watchers after prison, maybe?...
A woman named A.C. was being sought for 19 incidents of fraud, but for
ten years she was able to avoid capture by using her sister's ID card. In
order to better resemble her sister's ID picture A.C. lost weight and had
esthetic surgery (!).
The Istanbul Provincial Gendarmerie Command determined that fraud
was being committed with the use of stolen checks by A.C., who has
a record of 19 separate fraud crimes in six different provinces. Now,
after 10 years on the lam, A.C. has been arrested in Beyoğlu, Istanbul.
A Gendarmerie team went to Beyoğlu based on a tip that A.C. was
living there but the person who answered the door there claimed to
be A.C.'s sister. It turned out that A.C. had lost (a lot!) of weight and
had plastic surgery to better resemble her sister's ID picture, allowing
her to evade arrest for so long.
A search of the premises revealed check stubs from various companies,
along with many seals. After processing, A.C. was taken to jail.
...or perhaps a franchise in the joint?
