New dynasty: The Kidneyoğlu's
Four families from Eskişehir, Tunceli, Gaziantep and Kyrgyzstan
came to Istanbul for kidney treatment. None of them knew each
other before they met at Medicana International İstanbul Hospital,
where kidney transplant chief Prof. Dr. Murat Tuncer evaluated
them for kidney transplants.
Surgeon Prof. Dr. Muzaffer Sarıyar and his team operated for 8
hours, after which the members of the four families became
'kidney siblings'. Tevfik And (27), from Eskişehir, has been
dealing with kidney insufficiency since he was 7-years-old and
he received his first transplant from his father when he was 15.
This time And's mother Ayşe (57) came to his rescue. But because
of blood problems, And's new kidney came from Kyrgyz Assulu
Sadyedievo (34) instead of his mother.
Erhan Solmaz (32) from Gaziantep got his new kidney from
Birsel Satık (38), while Erhan bey's wife Nuray (38) gave a
kidney to Kyrgyz Azamad Sadyadievo (36). Tunceli's Cahit
Satık (48) got his new kidney from Ayşe And.
