The Cats-enjammer twins.
In Edirne, two deputy governors living in the same government
quarters building argued about feeding cats. (!) Şenol Levent
Elmacıoğlu and Mustafa Karslıoğlu filed complaints about
each other and Governor Günay Özdemir began an administrative
investigation into the matter.
Trouble-makers.
The incident occurred in July at the building located in the
Kaleiçi section of Edirne. Elmacıoğlu (52) argued with his
colleague Karslıoğlu because the latter was feeding cats in the
building, producing a smell that Elmacıoğlu found offensive.
The inspector appointed by the governor took statements from
the two deputy governors and witnesses in July. Consequently,
both officials were recommended for transfers from Edirne
but so far only Karslıoğlu has been transferred, to a post in
Antalya.
