In Istanbul, Algerian Nour Elislam B. (23) went to a nightclub on
28 January 2018. He got drunk and tried to go into another nightclub
but was denied entry. When Nour Elislam B. took umbrage at this
rejection he was beaten by the bouncers.
Nour Elislam B. went to nearby Gezi Park adjacent to Taksim Square
to lick his wounds and police there asked him what had happened to
him. Medical assistance was summoned for Nour Elislam B. who
was put into an ambulance, where health technician Nur S. (24) tried
to put a bandage on his split eyebrow.
At this point, Nour Elislam B. bit Nur S.'s finger (!) and she fainted
from the pain. Later, Nur S. filed a complaint against Nour Elislam B.
and a case was opened against him for "negligent wounding", which
carries a 1-year jail sentence.
