A father's love knows no bounds.
In Ataşehir, Istanbul, a father who learned that his daughter
Z.K. was being blackmailed by her boyfriend R.D.
arranged a meeting with R.D. and his daughter at a café
at 1400 yesterday.
From time to time R.D. has been demanding money from
Z.K., whose father owns the transport firm where R.D.
works in the accounting department, and threatened to
show Z.K.'s family 'inappropriate' images of her he had
recorded on his cellphone. This time, R.D. demanded
5,000 TL from Z.K., who could not come up with the
money and revealed the situation to her father in
desperation.

Father M.K. requested a meeting with his daughter and
R.D. at the café in Ataşehir, where he arrived with two
friends. After Z.K. left the table, one of M.K.'s friends
put a gun to R.D.'s neck and took R.D.'s cellphone.
Next, M.K. and his two friends took R.D. outside where
they roughed him up and shot him in the legs. (!)
M.K. and his friends fled the scene and R.D. was
subsequently taken to Fatih Sultan Mehmet Training &
Research Hospital. Police later arrested M.K. and one
of his friends on a street in Ataşehir.
M.K. sent this additional warning to R.D. in case
he didn't get the message the first time.
